Winery Point-of-Sale (POS) Screen Images
Compliance rules are built into our service, including deliverability (dry areas and P.O. Boxes), state volume limits and sales tax.
Easy-to-Use, but Robust Functionality
There are three main pages in our POS system: a Product Selection page, an Order Summary page and a Confirmation page. New tasting room staff can be trained in under 10 minutes.
Product Selection Page
This is the initial page that is displayed. It lists all the wines, merchandise, events, wine clubs, gift certificates and other tasting room items available for sale. You can choose from three types of pages to display/select your products: a list view, big buttons or barcode scan view. You can set the default view for each POS location, then switch between them as needed.
Product List View
Click the "+" button next to an item or items and then press the button at the top or bottom of the page to add those items to the order. You can quickly select wines or merchandise items, events, wine clubs and/or gift certificates across multiple groups of items.
If you have a touch screen or a lot of products, you may choose the big button view. You can define a button hierarchy for multiple levels of buttons to quickly find and select products.
If you scan barcodes, the barcode scan page makes it easy to enter products.
Order Summary Page
When an item or items are added to the order, the Order Summary page is displayed. It shows the contents of the order and the total cost. Completing a credit card sale is as easy as swiping the credit card and pressing the "Confirm Order" button.
The bottom section of the page allows you to enter as much (or as little) information as you want about your customer. It's fast too: just start typing a customer's name and we'll suggest matching customers -- select one and the information is populated on the page. You then have access to the customer's history: across POS, e-commerce and wine club transactions.
You can retrieve a customer's information by swiping their credit card, swiping/scanning their driver's license, or by entering their name, phone number or wine club member ID number.
The system can be enabled for a touch screen, including an on-screen keypad. You can specify additional data fields from your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that you want to capture for new customers. This allows you to collect data that otherwise may be lost when the customer leaves your tasting room.
Once you press the "Confirm Order" button, you'll see the confirmation page. You can now print a receipt or invoice, then start a new order. If the customer purchased a gift certificate or event ticket, you can also print those.
If you enable the electronic capture feature, your customers can record their signature via a touch interface or a signature pad. You can allow the customer to select a tip amount on this page.
That's it. Simple to use, and fully functional behind-the-scenes.

The design of the POS pages can be customized to reflect your design. This image is a customized design for one of our clients.
The POS can also be used on an iPhone® (or an iPad® or an Android® phone or tablet). There is a trade-off between portability and connecting peripherals to these devices, so you'll want to read our position paper on using tablets with the POS.
